What is Startup India Registration

Startup India is a initiative of Govt . Of India to build a strong eco system for nurturing innovation and startups in the country that will drive sustainable economic growth and generate large scale employment opportunities . This aims to bring in new innovation and design in goods and services.

Startup India Registration: Conditions
  • - A Private Limited Company or a registered partnership firm or LLP
  • - Annual turnover not more than Rs. 25 crore in any financial year since its incorporation
  • - Can avail benefit up to a period of 7 years from date of incorporation , up to 10 years in case of startups in Biotechnology Sector
  • - They should be working towards innovation, development or improvement of products or process or services
  • - Entity Formed by splitting up or reconstruction of existing business shall not be considered as startup
  1. To get yourself recognised as a startup you need to register under startup india program
  2. This overlooked by department of industrial policy and promotion(DIPP)
  3. Registration under startup india is very simple all you need to do is fill an online form, submit all the relevent detail like constitution of your entity, detail of authorised person, brief about your idea or innovation
  4. After filing online form DIPP will review your application form and will give you a certificate of recognisation. This certificate is deemed as your gateway for startup.

Scanned copy of the latest bank statement/telephone or mobile bill/electricity or gas bill.
